Twitter is testing a new feature that would allow users to let their trusted friends view the tweets. The feature that is being tested is similar to Instagram’s Close Friends feature. The micro-blogging site had shared early design concepts for its new “trusted friends” and Facets features. Users can choose a specific audience using the Trusted feature and Facets can be used to categorise the tweets. Of all the new features that Twitter seems to be working on, the Trusted Friends feature would really be useful for users. Sometimes you post tweets that you do not want certain people to read. It could be someone from your organisation or someone from your personal circle. Some people do maintain separate accounts for their personal and professional work but once the Trusted Friends feature is rolled out, you would not have to maintain two separate accounts.
