
Turkey keen on strengthening bilateral ties with Telangana

The Minister said Telangana offers a favourable environment for investments in many sectors, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences and commerce.
Ambassador of Turkey Firat Sunel met IT and Industries Minister D.Sridhar Babu here on Friday and expressed his country’s interest in enhancing bilateral relations with Telangana.
The Ambassador and the Minister spoke on the opportunities to further mutual cooperation between Turkey and Telangana, Mr.Sridhar Babu’s office said in a release after their meeting at the State Secretariat here.
Highlighting the historical and cultural ties, the Minister said Telangana offers a favourable environment for investments in many sectors, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences and commerce. To his suggestion that an industrial delegation from Turkey visit and explore Telangana’s thriving innovation ecosystem, the Ambassador responded positively and expressed willingness to facilitate such an initiative.
Consul General of Turkey Orhan Yaman Okan, who was present during the meeting, reaffirmed the country’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Telangana, the Minister’s office said.
