Trivial issue blown out of proportion by BJP: Adhir Ranjan on 'rashtrapatni' row
India Today
Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said his remark was blown out of proportion by the BJP to tarnish the party's image.
After facing heat over the 'rashtrapatni' remark, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said a trivial issue is being blown out of proportion by the BJP. It was just a slip of tongue, he reiterated.
"This is an eloquent testimony of the BJP's sinister design to tarnish the image of the Congress party. When the issue came up, instantly I expressed it was just a slip of tongue. I did not have any evil intention, even remotely, to dishonour the highest constitutional post of our country," Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury told India Today.
