Triumph Motorcycles is almost ready for the global premiere of its latest Tiger 1200, as the new images of the prototype reveal the new 120cc motorcycle is nearing its end of the development stage. The new Tiger 1200 is scheduled to debut soon after the global reveal of the new Triumph Tiger Sport 600, which is set for October 5, 2021. The new Triumph Tiger 1200 is a completely new model built around the Tiger-specific version of the 3-cylinder engine underpinned by the new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS.
The 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 will be more of an off-roader than an on-road motorcycle. The engine protector bars and additional lights hint at that direction, but the cast alloy wheels also indicate its ability to perform on asphalt as well. But more on this will be revealed in the coming weeks. Although Triumph refrained from revealing specific details of the new Tiger 1200, what we do know is that the new motorcycle will be lighter and more agile than before with enhanced ergonomics for better handling.
