A 25-year-old mother in Tamil Nadu’s Trichy abandoned her baby girl after being scolded by her husband for delivering a girl for the third time. Later, she went to the police and said she regretted abandoning it.
A newborn baby, just a few days old, was abandoned by the mother in Trichy. Strangely, the mother, who had a change of heart later, went to the police station to reclaim her baby girl.
The 25-year-old mother abandoned her baby girl outside a hospital in Trichy. She said that she did it after her husband scolded her for delivering a baby girl for the third time.
The heartbroken woman decided to abandon her child and left her near a hospital. A few construction workers in the area rescued the child and informed police upon sighting an abandoned child.
The baby girl was immediately rushed to the Trichy government hospital and treated. Later, the police also tried searching for the parents of the child.
Strangely, on Thursday morning, January 27, the woman went to the police station and claimed that the baby was hers. She also confessed to abandoning the child and had returned to the spot to reclaim her baby, but the child had already been rescued.
Seeing the news of the child being rescued, she rushed to the police station. She added that it was the pressure from her husband that led the woman to take this extreme measure, but she regretted it soon after.
The newborn baby is still getting treatment at the Trichy government hospital.
