Prevent accidents with guardrails, address boundary issues, stop sea contamination, and clean choked canal for public safety.
Absence of guardrail
The absence of roadside guardrails along the stretch of Erachakulam to Thittuvilai has led to vehicles falling into roadside canals, when driver controls in unforeseen circumstances.
The stretch has now become a recent hotspot for accidents. The authorities concerned should expedite the cleaning of the canal and implement the installation of guardrails that can prevent accidents that result in loss of lives.

Expansion unclear
The boundary of recently formed Nagercoil Municipal Corporation appears uneven, extending up to 6.1 km west and 11 km south, but is fixed at an average distance of 4 km in the north till CBH, east till Ozhuginasery, and southeast till Kariamanickapuram.
