Join the Tiranga Yatra in Mysuru on May 16 to honor armed forces and pay tribute to brave soldiers.

To mark the success of Operation Sindoor and pay tributes to the courage of the armed forces Tiranga Yatra will be held in Mysuru on May 16.

This was stated by Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and other BJP leaders, here on Wednesday.

The Tiranga Yatra is being held across the country and the BJP has stated that it is a non-party national event to pay tribute to the brave soldiers of the country.

Mr. Yaduveer said if people of India are able to sleep in peace it was due to the constant vigil maintained by the defense forces along the borders. The Tiranga Yatra is a non-political event and people in large numbers should take part in it, he added.

The MP said terrorism was a scourge and the world had recognised it as an evil, and India had demonstrated that it was not an attack on the civilians but on the terrorists. There was an outrage after what happened in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, and people were confident that the India government and armed forces will deal with the issue effectively, said Mr. Yaduveer Wadiyar.

He said Tiranga Yatra is to express the nation’s indebtedness to the soldiers for securing justice for the victims of terror attack. “Though one cannot bring the dead back to life, Operation Sindoor has served the cause of justice as more than 100 terrorists were killed by the armed forces,” he added.

L. Nagendra, president, city unit of the BJP, said Tiranga Yatra will commence at 10 a.m. from Field Marshal K.M. Cariyappa Statue on the JLB Road. Ex-servicemen, students, NGOs, religious leaders of all communities, students, members of various women’s group etc., will take part in it.
