Actually, the man named Randy Waites was watching the weather forecast on KCRA that informed about snowfall in Lake Tahoe. While catching up on the news, Randy saw a man on screen having the same last name as his. The man’s name was Eddie Waites and Randy couldn’t shake the feeling of a connection with him.

Randy, who had grown up without knowing his father, asked his daughter Cambria to look up Eddie online. "I saw [Eddie's] features and he actually looked a lot like my dad in the eyes. I did my research, searched for his name, looked up all I could," she told KCRA. Meanwhile, Cambria had dug up a number and the two men talked on the phone afterwards. While talking, they both discovered that they were actually long lost brothers.

The siblings finally met on the weekend and KCRA news captured the emotional moment.

“It just clicked, like we’ve been friends for 20 years,” Randy told KCRA. “It’s just unbelievable,” he added.
