Thiruvananthapuram city schools do well in SSLC exams

Thiruvananthapuram district records 98.59% pass rate in SSLC exams, with Kannur district achieving the highest at 99.87%.
The capital district of Thiruvananthapuram registered a pass percentage of 98.59 in the SSLC examinations this year.
This was the lowest among revenue districts in the State. Kannur had the highest pass percentage this year at 99.87. Last year, Thiruvananthapuram registered a pass percentage of 99.08.
Of the 34,314 students who appeared for the examinations from the district, 33,831 became eligible for higher studies. Of them, 17,039 were boys and 16,792 were girls.
Among the education districts, Neyyattinkara topped with a pass percentage of 98.92. Thiruvananthapuram came next with 98.66%, followed by Attingal at 98.28%, the lowest in the State.
Of the 13,047 students who sat for the exams in Attingal, 12,822 passed. In the Thiruvananthapuram education district, 10,663 of the 10,808 students passed, and in Neyyattinkara, 10,346 of the 10,459 students who took the exams became eligible for higher studies.
As many as 4,938 students secured A+ grade in all subjects in the district. Attingal education district had the highest number of students with A+ grade—1,940. Neyyattinkara had 1,677, and Thiruvananthapuram 1,321.
Girls outnumbered boys in securing A+ in all subjects — 3,266 girls as compared to 1,672 boys.
