The Kapil Sharma Show to be replaced by THIS show?

The Kapil Sharma Show is reportedly going off-air in June. The show will most likely be replaced by India's Laughter Champion.

Kapil Sharma and his team are going on a month-long tour to the US in June. According to reports, The Kapil Sharma Show will go off-air during the comedian's US tour. On April 7, Sony TV announced a new show, India's Laughter Champion. And, if reports are to be believed, it will be replacing TKSS on the channel.

There have been rumours of The Kapil Sharma Show going off-air. But ever since the official Instagram handle announced the launch of a new comedy show, India's Laughter Champion, speculations are rife that it will be replacing TKSS.

"NEW SHOW ALERT!!! #India'sLaughterChampion coming soon, only on Sony TV! @banijayasia (sic), read the caption.

The show seems to be similar to The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and aims to find stand-up comedians. Just like TKSS, India's Laughter Champion is also being produced by Banijay Asia.

The Kapil Sharma Show might take a backseat for a while as Kapil is heading for his month-long USA tour. A source close to the development told Indian Express, "Kapil has a month-long USA tour planned for mid-June and would be unavailable to shoot. The team thus decided to take a break during that same time. A few episodes, however, will be pre-shot to continue entertaining fans before they go on a break."

The Kapil Sharma Show features Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lehri, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar, Kapil Sharma and Archana Puran Singh.
