Brad Pitt is officially returning to one of his most celebrated screen roles, with Netflix unveiling the first teaser for The Adventures of Cliff Booth during Super Bowl LX, offering an early glimpse at the Oscar-winning character’s next chapter.
Netflix released the one-minute teaser for The Adventures of Cliff Booth, confirming Pitt’s return as the laid-back stuntman first introduced in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The new film is directed by David Fincher and written by Tarantino, marking a notable creative handoff between the two filmmakers. While Tarantino scripted the project, he stepped aside from directing duties as he continues developing his long-discussed final feature.

Set in the 1970s, the teaser leans heavily into retro imagery, with neon-lit streets, vintage cars and behind-the-scenes glimpses of Hollywood filmmaking. Pitt’s Cliff Booth is shown navigating film sets, lounging in bars and moving through the industry with the quiet confidence that defined the character in the 2019 film. One brief moment nods to Pitt’s Academy Award win for the role, reinforcing Booth’s legacy within Hollywood lore.
The film reunites Pitt with Fincher for the first time since The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The duo previously collaborated on Se7en and Fight Club, making this reunion one of the project’s major draws. Unlike its predecessor, The Adventures of Cliff Booth will debut exclusively on Netflix and is expected to arrive on the platform in summer 2026, bypassing a traditional theatrical release.
The supporting cast includes Scott Caan, Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, Holt McCallany and JB Tadena. Timothy Olyphant is also set to reprise his role as James Stacy. Leonardo DiCaprio, who starred alongside Pitt in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, is not expected to return.
