Schools in Telangana reopened after summer vacation. This is the first time in two years that schools reopened on schedule after the break.
On Monday, schools reopened in Telangana after the summer vacation as the fear of Covid-19 eased in the state. Further, this is the first time in two years that schools reopened on schedule after the summer break.
Significantly, the state government introduced English medium in government schools from Classes 1 to 8 from this academic year.
State Education Minister, P Sabita Indra Reddy, visited a government school in the city and urged parents to admit their children into the state-run schools, as the state government is working to provide the best education for students.
On Sunday, the minister said that over 1 lakh government school teachers have been imparted training to enable them to teach in English. The minister further added that a bridge course will be conducted for a month so as to make students adapt to English at ease.
