Telangana govt announces vacation for schools, colleges from April 27 to May 31

With rising Covid-19 cases, the Telangana government has announced early vacations for schools and junior colleges.
Amid rising Covid-19 cases in the country, the Telangana government has decided to suspend all classes and has directed holidays for schools and junior colleges from April 27 to May 31 with respect for the safety of students, staff, and non-staff faculty. As per reports, Education Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy said the decision was taken after Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao reviewed the situation at a meeting with the Chief Secretary and Education Department officials. Director of School Education, Syed Omar Jaleel, on Sunday, issued orders declaring holidays for all schools and junior colleges in the state from April 27 to May 31. With a sudden spike in the number of cases, the state government shut down educational institutions from March 24. The state witnessed the highest number of cases, as well as deaths in a single day spike with more than eight thousand cases and thirty-eight deaths. With this, the total number of cases stands at 3.95 lakhs.More Related News
