Telangana DCA raids unlicensed medical practitioner, seizes illegal medicines, and initiates legal action.
Officials from the Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA) conducted a raid on Monday (December 9, 2024) at the premises of K. Anjaiah, an unqualified medical practitioner, in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
During the operation, 28 types of medicines, including antibiotics, abortion pills, pain relievers and anti-ulcer drugs were found stocked without a valid drug licence. The seized stock, valued at ₹17,800, was confiscated, and samples were collected for analysis. The DCA has stated that further investigation is under way and legal action will be taken against all those involved, according to an official release.
