On the occasion of Teacher's Day 2022, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has made education in Chhattisgarhi language mandatory once a week across schools.
On the occasion of Teacher's Day 2022, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has made three major announcements that have to be implemented across schools in the state.
In order to promote the local language Chhattisgarhi among students from their growing age, education in Chhattisgarhi and tribal dialect will now be mandatory once a week in all the schools. Educational material is also being prepared for the same.
Text material is being prepared in Chhattisgarhi language and in the local tribal dialects in Bastar and Surguja regions so that students will be encouraged to talk in Chhattisgarhi and an atmosphere of love and respect can be inculcated.
In this regard Chhattisgarhi Diwas is also celebrated every year on November 28.
In another big announcement, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that Sanskrit will also be taught in Swami Atmanand English medium schools to promote India's culture and tradition. So far, the state government has opened 250 English and Hindi medium schools in Chhattisgarh.
Recently, an announcement was also made to set up 10 Swami Atmanand colleges.
In addition to that, the chief minister has also spoken about making computer education compulsory in Swami Atmanand English medium schools.
