Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders on Monday poured alcohol on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's photo to protest against the alleged illicit liquor deaths in West Godavari.
The TDP MLAs demanded a judicial probe into the cause of the death of 12 people, who reportedly died after allegedly consuming illicit liquor.
Since the beginning of the budget session, TDP MLAs have been demanding an inquiry, blaming the YSRCP government for not fulfilling the election campaign promise of phased prohibition in the state.

On Monday, TDP legislators led by party national general secretary Nara Lokesh took out a rally outside the state assembly, demanding a ban on all harmful cheap ‘’J-brand" liquor in the state.
Opposition MLAs and MLCs carried out a protest and poured liquor on the photo of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. They accused the ruling party of committing a 'multi-crore liquor fraud' at the cost of innocent lives.
