Tamil Nadu man killed for trying to stop fight at petrol bunk, three arrested

Kalaichelvan from Tamil Nadu’s Tirunelveli district had gone to a petrol bunk. He saw four men assaulting the staff there. When he tried to intervene and stop the fight, the gang surrounded him and beat him up. He died on the way to the hospital.
A 33-year-old man in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu was brutally beaten to death for trying to stop a fight at a petrol bunk. Police have arrested three men involved in the murder and are hunting for one more accused who is absconding.
On Monday, March 7, Kalaichelvan from Panagudi town in Tirunelveli district had gone to a petrol bunk where he saw a gang of men attacking the staff.
The perpetrators, identified as Auto Kumar, Balasubramaniam, Sivaraman and Manisraja, began an argument with the petrol bunk staff, claiming that the pump in the bunk was rigged.
The argument turned into a fist fight. Upon seeing this, Kalaichelvan attempted to stop the fight and separate the men. However, the gang turned their attention towards him, surrounded him and began to brutally beat him.

By the time the petrol bunk staff could respond and rescue Kalaichelvan, he was brutally beaten. Kalaichelvan died on the way to the hospital.
Valliyur Police who have filed a case have arrested Balasubramanian, Auto Kumar, Sivaraman and are on the lookout for Manisraja.
