Teens around the Chidambaram bus stand were stopped by police to "check the length" of hair. According to students, the police forced them to cut their hair.
In a video, a student was seen telling the cops that he just had a haircut, but still the cops did not budge.
The cops faced criticism on social media when the video of the incident went viral.
