Tamil Nadu CM EPS demands 20 lakh Covid vaccine for smooth vaccination drive

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has asked the Centre to provide 20 lakh doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to ensure smooth vaccination drive in the state.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding 20 lakh doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to ensure smooth vaccination drive in the state. In his letter, Edappadi Palaniswami wrote: "With the vaccination gaining pace in the state, I would request that an assured supply of at least ten days consumption of vaccine, of about 20 lakh doses, may be supplied well in advance to ensure that the vaccination drive at the individual sites are not affected and persons coming for the second dose are assured of vaccination on the date and at the site they report." Edappadi Palaniswami also raised concerns over the supply of Remdesivir drug.
