Tamil Nadu: 20-yr-old attacks old woman, her grandson under influence of drugs

The accused fled from the spot after attacking the 70-year-old woman and her five-year-old grandson.
A 20-year-old man allegedly attacked an old woman and her grandson under the influence of drugs on Friday, near Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.
The accused, identified as Yuvraj, is a resident of Pattunul Chattram village near Sriperumbudur. He is known for creating ruckus in the area under the influence of weed.
The incident occurred when 70-year-old Velankani was sitting outside her house. Yuvraj allegedly dragged the woman into her house and assaulted her. Hearing his grandmother's cry, five-year-old boy Puviarasan ran inside, where he was attacked too.

After committing the crime, Yuvaraj locked the house door from outside and fled the scene.
Hearing the woman's cry, neighbours reached the spot and found the woman and the child brutally injured.
The neighbour immediately informed the police. The victims were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
