T20 World Cup 2021: Michael Hussey said he is optimistic that Australia can go the distance and win their first-ever title in the shortest format of the game. Aaron Finch's men are heading into the tournament on the back of series defeats in West Indies and Bangladesh.

Michael Hussey has played down concerns over Australia's form in T20 cricket and said he is optimistic that the team can go on to win their first-ever T20 World Cup title in the UAE.

Australia have not managed to win a T20I series since February 2020 suffering defeats in West Indies and Bangladesh this year but the return of their big names, including Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and David Warner, gives the team confidence.
