Swiggy has launched a dedicated care corner in the app to provide special features to users affected by COVID. The Care Corner is similar to the Swiggy Genie but the Care Corner is more focused on COVID-19 needs. Using the new feature, you can send home-cooked food, medicines, groceries, etc to COVID positive patients, who are unable to step out. These features were already available in Swiggy Genie. When you tap on the Care corner, you will find options of sending homemade food, care packages, source medicines and groceries using the feature. There is also a special “Care menu” which consists of home-cooked food and immunity boosters. There is also a special section where users can donate essential supplies like sanitizer, and oxygen concentrators. Swiggy also announced that it will prioritize Gene deliveries across the country in the wake of the second wave. The Genie is an essential service through which users can ferry a range of necessities- from over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, oxy-meters, thermometers to home-cooked meals, care packages, and grocery.
