Suriya took to Twitter to convey his best wishes to Simbu and Gautham Vasudev Menon. He also wrote that he is hearing good things about the duo's Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu.

Silmbarasan and Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu hit the theatres on September 15 amid much fanfare. The film has been receiving a positive response from critics and audience alike. On the film's release day, Suriya took to Twitter to convey his good wishes to Simbu, Gautham and composer AR Rahman. He also wrote that he heard good things about the film.

Vendhu Thaninthadhu Kaadu got a wide release in Tamil Nadu and several other states. The film's Telugu version has been delayed due to technical reasons.

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is a gangster drama directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film's story is written by B Jeyamohan. The film stars Silambarasan AKA Simbu and Siddhi Idnani in lead roles. Radikaa Sarathkumar, Siddique and Neeraj Madhav were seen in supporting roles. Composer AR Rahman, editor Anthony and cinematographer Siddharthi Nuni form the technical crew.
