Kids singing reality show Superstar Singer 2 is set to premiere on Sony TV on April 23. The show has Alka Yagnik, Javed Ali and Himesh Reshammiya as judges and Aditya Narayan as the host.
After a successful first season, Superstar Singer has returned with its second season on Sony TV. Superstar Singer 2, which provides a platform to young singing talent from around the country, is set to premiere April 23 and will telecast every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm.
Kolkata's Prity Bhattacherjee was the winner of Superstar Singer Season 1. The show is returning after a gap of two years. The first edition of the reality show received an amazing response, which may have encouraged the makers to bring a new season.
The contestants on Superstar Singer are under the age of 15 years, who are mentored by the captains. Nurturing these young musical prodigies will be the Captains - Arunita Kanjilal, Pawandeep Rajan, Sayli Kamble, Mohd, Danish, and Salman Ali. The judges panel include Alka Yagnik, Javed Ali and Himesh Reshammiya. And, keeping the entertainment quotient intact with his hilarious quips, Aditya Narayan will be seen as the show's host.
The Captains visited every part of the country to choose the contestants. According to a statement from the channel some of the musical talents who will be participating in the show are Sargam Kushwaha, a visually impaired girl who sees this beautiful world with her music; 12-year-old Pranjal Biswas who will charm everybody’s heart with his innocence and his dotara and 12-year-old Harshita Bhattacharjya who with her passion for singing will prove that music is the universal language of the soul.
The show will begin with the audition round. The chosen contestant by the captain will get a chance to impress the judges with their talent and win the Suron Pe Mohar, which will help them qualify for the next round.
The second phase will be the mega audition phase where selected contestants will their best foot forward to secure their place in the Top 15.
The judges will announce the Top 15 contestants on the Grand Premiere episode and they will be assigned a captain, who will groom them and hone their skills.
