The government of West Bengal has decided to commence the summer vacations for school students in the state from today, April 20, in view of the rise in Covid-19 cases across the state in the past few weeks. The state government has decided to prepone the summer vacations in the state this year due to the Covid-19 surge across the country. Usually, the summer break in the state is commenced from May across all the schools. The schools have been shut in West Bengal once again, soon after the resumption of physical classes in the state. The students of classes 9 to 12 had started attending offline classes in the state from mid-February due to the upcoming board exams.
