Suhail wanted Rs 40 lakh in dowry, my daughter stood firm by her values: Mofiya’s father

The husband of Mofiya Parveen allegedly demanded Rs 40 lakh from her father after getting married. Despite being abused, Mofiya never agreed to the demands for dowry.

The husband of Mofiya Parveen, the 21-year-old law student who committed suicide in Kerala, allegedly hounded her for dowry on several occasions and even demanded Rs 40 lakh from her father after getting married.

Speaking exclusively to India Today, Mofiya’s father Dilshad said she did not agree to her husband Muhammed Suhail and in-laws’ insistent demands for dowry, even after they abused her physically.
