Music Maestro Ilaiyaraaja has given an Indian twist to the iconic Stranger Things opening theme song. Season 4 of the Netflix series is set to premiere on May 27.

Stranger Things is much more than just a supernatural thriller. The Netflix series has become a pop culture phenomenon over the years. Apart from its spellbinding plot, relatable characters and its homage to classic 1980s nostalgia, the series' soundtrack has also grabbed the attention. The music transports you to the 'Upside Down' world ruled by the MindFlayer. Ahead of its release on May 27, Netflix had a sweet surprise for its Indian fans.

Stranger Things 4 Volume might release on May 27 but the reviews are already in. Before the premiere, Netflix has a surprise for fans with a collaboration with music composer Ilaiyaraaja. The music maestro brings us his own rendition of the iconic Stranger Things opening theme in a new music video launched by Netflix. And needless to say, it's captivating.

The official Instagram handle of Netflix India shared the video and captioned it, "MAESTRO ILAIYARAAJA'S VERSION OF THE STRANGER THINGS THEME HAS TURNED OUR WORLD UPSIDE DOWN! Stranger Things is coming soon in Tamil and Telugu (sic)."

The official synopsis of Stranger Things 4 reads, "It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time - and navigating the complexities of high school hasn't made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down."\

Created by The Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things is produced by Monkey Massacre Productions & 21 Laps Entertainment with The Duffer Brothers serving as executive producers, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment, Iain Paterson, and Curtis Gwinn.
