Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 actor Mridul Das is soon going to be seen playing the role of a terrorist in Zee 5's upcoming film State of Siege: Temple Attack. The actor will be seen in a negative role for the first time in the film. In an interview to Aaj Tak, he said that the end of Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 worked for him as he got the opportunity to play one of the best characters of his life. Directed by Ken Ghosh, State of Siege: Temple Attack is based on the terrorist attack on Akshardham Temple in Gujarat in 2002. The film marks Akshaye Khanna's digital debut.
