
Stalin virtually inaugurates four Thozhi hostels, new buildings for hospitals

M.K. Stalin inaugurates Thozhi hostels, healthcare facilities, and housing units for Sri Lankan Tamils, enhancing welfare across Tamil Nadu.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Tuesday virtually inaugurated several projects for the Social Welfare and Women Empowerment, Health and Family Welfare, MSME and Public (Rehabilitation) Departments across the State.
During an event in the Secretariat in Chennai, the CM virtually inaugurated four new Thozhi hostels for the benefit of working women constructed in Cuddalore, Dharmapuri, Madurai, and Ranipet at a total cost of ₹21 crore, an official release said.
He also inaugurated new buildings constructed for the Health and Family Welfare Department at a total cost of ₹317 crore. The new building for the Neuroscience Block at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, the upgraded district headquarters hospital in Hosur, buildings for Tamil Nadu Government Dental College, were among the new buildings he inaugurated.
The CM virtually inaugurated a high-rise building for the Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation Limited (TANSI) constructed at a cost of ₹175 crore. He also virtually inaugurated the silk yarn cluster in Salem district, the art silk fabric cluster in Theni district, the weaving cluster in Virudhunagar district and the gold jewellery cluster in Tirunelveli district established at a total cost of ₹32 crore.
Mr. Stalin inaugurated honey extraction facility cluster in Vellore district and jute cluster in Karur district established through the Industries Commissionerate and Directorate of Industries and Commerce at a cost of ₹16 crore. He also virtually inaugurated 506 housing units constructed for the welfare of Sri Lankan Tamils living in six camps located in Chennai, Ranipet, Sivaganga, Tenkasi, Tirupattur, and Tiruvallur districts, at a cost of ₹33 crore.
Ministers E.V. Velu, T.M. Anbarasan, P. Geetha Jeevan, Ma. Subramanian, P.K. Sekarbabu and S.M. Nasar; Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam, and senior officials participated.
