K. Annamalai criticizes CM M.K. Stalin as a 'reels' leader, highlighting rising violence and inadequate government response in Tamil Nadu.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has become a ‘reels’ Chief Minister, said K. Annamalai, former State president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Speaking at a protest organised in Coimbatore city on Tuesday against the DMK government, he said 8,008 murders were reported in the State in the last five years, along with 2,080 sexual assaults on minors and young girls. The State recorded the highest number of sexual assaults in the country, with 39,999 cases in the last five years. This is an indication of how the law and order situation has deteriorated in the State. Till date there is only a DGP in charge for the State. AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has called for the first protest by the NDA for the safety of women.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has become a ‘reels’ Chief Minister and does not show interest in any issue (of the State). “We cannot accept sexual assault against women in Tamil society,” he added. The DMK promised to give 3.5 lakh government jobs after coming to power. However, just 43,000 people were given jobs. Further, just 65,618 kg of drugs were seized in the State in the last five years. “Use of synthetic drugs is on the rise in the State,” he alleged.
He called upon the cadre to work for the victory of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the State.
According to S.P. Velumani, Thondamuthur MLA, if the DMK returns to power, there will be no protection for women. The DMK blames the Central government for every issue because it has not done anything for Tamil Nadu or Coimbatore. If Edappadi K. Palaniswami returns to power, he will implement the Central government schemes in the State.
