In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Srijit Mukherji revealed that he was in talks with late actor Irrfan for the Hindi version of Hemlock Society. The filmmaker also spoke about his upcoming Bengali movie, Kakababur Protyaborton.
A director, a writer, a producer - Srijit Mukherji is a powerhouse of talent, but admits that he doesn’t take himself “that seriously”. Srijit, who started his career in Bengali cinema, is now branching into Bollywood - Netflix's Ray, anyone? If things had gone as planned, Srjiit would also have helmed the Hindi version of Hemlock Society with Irrfan. Sadly, the actor passed away before the film could see the light of day.
Srijit also has his hands full with back-to-back releases in both Bollywood and Tollywood (Bengali film industry) in 2022. On February 4, one of his most-anticipated films from the Kakababu franchise in Tollywood, Kakababur Protyaborton, will release.
