After featuring in The Weeknd's music video, Squid Game star Jung Ho-yeon has bagged a new Hollywood project. The actress will be seen in Joe Talbot's The Governesses.

Squid Game actress Jung Ho-yeon has been roped in for a Hollywood film. She will be seen in The Governesses, helmed by Joe Talbot, who made his directorial debut in 2019 with The Last Black Man in San Francisco. On Thursday, Ho-yeon's agency confirmed that she is starring in the Hollywood film.

Jung Ho-yeon's agency, Saram Entertainment, announced, “Jung Ho Yeon has been cast to play a lead role in The Governesses, which will be directed by Joe Talbot.” The film also stars Lily-Rose Depp and Renate Reinsve.

Squid Game's massive popularity has brought new opportunities for Jung Ho-yeon. The actress received global recognition and also won a SAG and Critics' Choice Award for her performance in the Korean series. The actress recently featured in The Weeknd's music video, Out Of Time, alongside Hollywood actor Jim Carrey. Before The Governesses, she also signed a series named Disclaimer, which also stars Cate Blanchett and Sacha Baron Cohen. The Apple TV+ series will be directed by Alfonso Cuaron.

According to reports, The Governesses will reportedly follow the story of three rebellious governesses, played by Jung Ho-yeon, Lily-Rose Depp and Renate Reinsve. The film is based on the book of the same name by Anne Serre.
