Sports centre opened at Anna Nagar in Tiruchi

A new integrated sports centre opened in Anna Nagar, Tiruchi, featuring various sports facilities and membership options.
An integrated sports centre established by Tiruchi Corporation near Uzhavar Sandhai at Anna Nagar in the city was inaugurated by Municipal Administration Minister K. N. Nehru on Tuesday.
The air-conditioned sports complex has been built at a cost of ₹5.51 crore under the State Finance Commission grants and the Corporation general funds.
The facility features two table tennis courts, a modern gymnasium and arenas for indoor sports including billiards. Suite rooms with a restaurant, an administrative block, accommodation, and changing rooms for sports persons, CCTV surveillance, and seating arrangements for spectators have been provided at the sports centre. Parking space will be available for up to 50 cars and two-wheelers.
Individuals can opt for a lifetime membership by paying a deposit of ₹2 lakh along with an annual maintenance fee of ₹15,000. Lifetime members will have access to facilities, including table tennis, billiards, a gym, suite rooms, and a restaurant.
Separate fee structure had been prescribed for annual and monthly membership while individual user charges will apply for each sport. Charges have been fixed for both peak hours (5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and non-peak hours.
For non-members, monthly charges range from ₹500 to ₹1,000 an hour per day for table tennis, ₹5,000 for billiards, and ₹1,500 for the gym. For yearly members, charges range between ₹5,000 and ₹10,000 for table tennis, ₹50,000 for billiards, and ₹12,000 for gym usage. Suite rooms will cost ₹4,000 for 24 hours.
