A group of around 12 men were hit by a speeding car at Amman Kovil area in Kenikarai police limit in Ramanathapuram district on Saturday night.
According to police sources, around 12 men who were standing near the temple were hit by the unidentified car. As all were injured, they were rushed to Government Ramanathapuram Medical College Hospital.
While one is feared dead, five men were referred to Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai for further treatment. Following the incident, more than 100 residents gathered at the hospital. Police personnel were deployed to control the crowd.
