Speak on Centre’s contribution to Telangana, do not indulge in religious provocation: Mahesh Goud to Kishan Reddy
Hyderabad
TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud criticised Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar for “prioritising religion over development” and asked them to speak about job creation, Centre’s contribution to Telangana, industrial growth and caste census.
Mr. Goud addressed a press conference in the city on Friday to counter the charges levelled by Mr. Kishan Reddy, and found fault with the BJP leaders’ provocative statements that the “Razakars would come back if an AIMIM candidate won the local body MLC elections”.
“The BJP leaders can’t live without uttering the names of the Owaisi brothers. How long will you divide people in the name of religion and caste? Instead, you should speak on Centre’s contribution to Telangana’s projects,” he told them, and urged them to stay away from “provocative politics”. “Can Razakars ever come back? Is this what is expected from a Union Minister?” he asked.
He also criticised Mr. Reddy’s ministerial performance, asking, “How much funds did you bring to Telangana in 15 months? As a Union Minister, did you make any effort to take TG’s issues to the Prime Minister for clearance of projects?”
Mr. Goud questioned why BC community leaders from the BJP like Eatala Rajender and Mr. Sanjay Kumar remained silent on 42% BC reservations. He asked them whether they have the courage to appeal it to be implemented across the country.
The TPCC president also accused the BJP and BRS of colluding during elections and termed their relationship a drama of sworn enemies after the polls. He also took objection to comments made against senior Congress leaders and said there was no internal discord.
