England captain Harry Brook decided to channel his inner Stone Cold Steve Austin as he celebrated his hundred in the series decider against Sri Lanka by mimicking the WWE legend. Brook and Joe Root delivered commanding performances to put England in a strong position in the third and deciding ODI against Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. England finished on 357 for 3 from their 50 overs, setting Sri Lanka a steep target of 358 for victory as the series remains level at 1–1.
Brook produced a remarkable innings, scoring an unbeaten 136 off just 66 deliveries. He struck 11 fours and 9 sixes, coming to the crease in the 32nd over at 166 for 3 and accelerating the scoring rate instantly. Brook reached his fifth ODI hundred in only 57 balls, marking the seventh-fastest century by an England batter in one-day internationals.
