Singer Kanika Kapoor feels Pushpa's Oo Bolega lyrics are 'harsh'. Says some didn't like it

In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, singer Kanika Kapoor spoke about the lyrics of Oo Bolega from Pushpa. The song features Allu Arjun and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

The Hindi music album of Allu Arjun's Pushpa has been well received by the masses. Right from the song Srivalli to Oo Bolega, the tracks of Pushpa have struck a right chord with the audience. Talking about Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Allu Arjun's song Oo Bolega, it has been crooned by Baby Doll singer Kanika Kapoor. In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Kanika spoke about the craziest response she has received to the song.

While talking about the crazy response, the singer also spoke about the criticism she received for Oo Bolega. "There have been one or two people who have messaged me saying - 'Please don't mind it, but I didn't like it' and I was like 'okay'. And I understand that the lyrics are a little harsh. Generally, there are songs always made on girls, on their lips, breasts, eyes, hips and everything," said Kanika.

She further added, "Why can't we make a song like this about a man? Kudos to the team that they have created such a cute number, which is based on men. I think that it is something that goes with the movie and its concept. That is why the makers added the song in this movie."

Kanika Kapoor's journey in Bollywood has been phenomenal. From her first track Baby Doll to her latest track Oo Bolega for Pushpa, Kanika has been churning out chartbusters. The singer recently landed in trouble when her song Madhuban received heavy criticism. The makers of the song had to change the title altogether. Kanika and Sunny Leone's song is now called Panghat.

Prior to Oo Bolega and Panghat, Kanika crooned a track called Soneya Ve for Hello Charlie.
