Shreyas Iyer injury update: Delhi Capitals skipper to undergo shoulder surgery after April first week

Shreyas Iyer had hurt his left shoulder while fielding during England's run chase in the first ODI and did not take any further part in the match which India won by 66 runs on March 23 in Pune.
In a major setback for the Delhi Capitals, their captain Shreyas Iyer is most certain to miss the entire season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) due to the shoulder injury he suffered in the 1st ODI against England on Tuesday. The 26-year-old will be out of action for at least 4-5 months and won't be seen on the field before September. "Not just the IPL (2021), I think Shreyas will take about 4-5 months for recovery. So a realistic assessment will be the home T20 series against New Zealand and South Africa in September.More Related News
