Mardaani 3 released in theatres today with Rani Mukerji returning as cop Shivani Shivaji Roy. Ahead of the release, Shah Rukh Khan wished the actor and praised her performance in a heartfelt message.
Rani Mukerji has returned to the big screen with Mardaani 3, which released in theatres today and has opened to a decent start at the Indian box office. As the third instalment of the popular franchise hits cinemas, Shah Rukh Khan extended his best wishes to the actor, expressing his support and praising her strength as she reprises her role as police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy.
Ahead of the film’s release on January 30, Shah Rukh Khan wrote on X, "Just from the heart.to my Rani ‘Mardaani’ all my best wishes. I am sure you will be feisty, strong & compassionate in Mardaani 3 like u are in the real world too."

In Mardaani 3, Rani Mukerji is back in action as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy, a character that has been widely appreciated since the first film. The latest instalment is directed by Abhiraj Minawala and continues the franchise’s focus on crime and justice.
The action thriller also stars Janki Bodiwala and Mallika Prasad in key roles. Produced by Aditya Chopra and Akshaye Wadhwani, Mardaani 3 follows Mardaani 2, which released in 2019 and went on to earn Rs 47.38 crore at the box office.
On the work front, Rani Mukerji will next be seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King, which is slated for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
