Alia Bhatt's film, Darlings, has apparently taken the digital route. The film has been reportedly sold to OTT giant, Netflix. The movie is backed by Alia and Shah Rukh Khan.
After Gangubai Kathiawadi's release, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has a couple of exciting films lined up. The actress will be seen in RRR with Ajay Devgn, Jr NTR and Ram Charan. She also has Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani lined up. Besides these movies, the actress will be seen in Darlings with Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma. Regarding Darlings, IndiaToday.in has exclusively learnt that the film is heading for a digital release.
A source close to the development has exclusively informed IndiaToday.in that Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan-backed Darlings will be released on OTT giant, Netflix. Believe it or not, the film, also featuring Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma, has been sold to Netflix for a whopping Rs 75 crore. It is being reported that the film is a dark comedy.
For the ones who aren't aware, Darlings is Alia Bhatt's first production venture. When the actress started shooting for the film, she penned a special note on her official Instagram handle.
"Day one of DARLINGS! my first film as a producer but I will always be an actor first & forever (in this case a very nervous actor) I don’t know what it is .. a night before I start a new film I get this nervous tingling energy all over my body.. i dream all night about messing up my lines..become jumpy.. reach set 15 mins before time fearing I’ll be late! I guess this feeling will never go away.. and it shouldn’t - because being nervous.. and feeling unsure means you really really care (sic)," she wrote.
