T.B. Jayachandra, veteran MLA, awarded best legislator in Karnataka Assembly, recognized for long-standing service and dedication.
T.B. Jayachandra, seven-time MLA and special representative of the Karnataka government in New Delhi, was honoured with the best legislator award for 2024, in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.
Speaker U.T. Khader presented the award in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Leader of the Opposition R. Ashok, and Deputy Speaker Rudrappa Lamani.
Mr. Jayachandra, 75, was elected to the Assembly for the first time in 1978. He has handled portfolios such as Horticulture and Law and Parliamentary Affairs, and worked as the special representative of the State in New Delhi twice.
