
Selfie sticks, cameras, backpacks among items prohibited at Hyderabad’s Uppal stadium; cloakroom not available

Hyderabad's Uppal Stadium prohibits items like selfie sticks, cameras, and backpacks; cloakroom services unavailable, during IPL matches.
Some items are not permitted to be carried into Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal of Hyderabad, where seven matches of 19th Indian Premier League (IPL) will be held. Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate informed that cloakrooms is not available there.
The first of the seven matches at the stadium will organised on Sunday (April 5, 2026), between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants. It will begin at 3.30 p.m.
Laptops and selfie sticks; outside food; wireless earphones and airpods; backpacks and handbags; cameras and other video recording devices are some in the list of prohibited items, as per Malkajgiri Police. Besides, pets too will not be allowed. The list of the prohibited items was initially communicated on Thursday (April 2, 2026) and reiterated on Sunday.
