BJP celebrates victory in Khanapur chairperson election, criticizing Congress tactics and claiming a response to their alleged alliance with MIM.
Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao hailed the party’s victory in the Khanapur municipal chairperson election, calling it a harbinger of more successes in the coming days.
He said the BJP captured the chairperson’s post despite “intense pressure, threats and political manipulation by the ruling Congress party”, alleging that the latter resorted to the “misuse of power and undemocratic tactics”. Mr. Rao congratulated Nirmal MLA and the party’s floor leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy, district president Ritesh Rathore, and party workers for what he described as a ‘hard-fought’ victory.
BJP’s chief official spokesperson N. V. Subhash also termed the win a “direct answer to the clandestine tactical alliance between the Congress and the MIM”. He claimed that after the exposure of their alleged tie-up in Nizamabad, a similar pattern was seen in Khanapur as well, but it ultimately failed.
Against Congress power misuse and against undemocratic tactics — the Lotus still bloomed in Khanapur. I heartily congratulate Nirmal MLA Shri @maheshreddy_bjp garu, District President Shri @Rathod4BJP garu, and our tireless BJP karyakartas for this hard-fought victory. This…
Earlier, speaking to the media in Jangaon, Mr. Rao strongly criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for engaging in “false propaganda” during election campaigning in Kerala by claiming that “all promises are being implemented in Telangana”, while allegedly failing to fulfil those guarantees in the State.
He demanded that the Congress government prioritise implementing promises made to the people of Telangana, alleging that it had “failed across sectors and that corruption was on the rise”. “No section of society is satisfied,” he said, also accusing the government of demolishing homes and livelihoods of small business owners.
