Stringent security arrangements have been made in Bhabanipur ahead of the crucial bypoll on Thursday.

Ahead of the high-voltage bypoll to the Bhabanipur assembly seat in south Kolkata, from where West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is contesting, stringent security arrangements with the deployment of 15 companies of central forces have been made in the area.

BJP's Priyanka Tibrewal, CPI(M)'s Srijib Biswas and Trinamool Congress's Mamata Banerjee are in the fray from the area. The Congress has decided not to field a candidate there.
