India Today
Tension is high and Section 144 has been imposed by Karnataka Police in Belagavi until December 22. Here is everything you need to know about the Karnataka-Maharashtra border issue.
Tension rose in Belagavi, a border district claimed by both Karnataka and Maharashtra, after a video of some people pouring black ink on the face of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s statue at Sankey Tank Road in Bengaluru went viral on Friday.
In retaliation, Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Ekikiran Samiti (MES) followers gathered in Belagavi and protested against the Karnataka government. The protesters smashed 27 Karnataka government vehicles.

Lalu Prasad Yadav's elder son, Tej Pratap, is speaking of wisdom and devotion again. He's no longer the Krishna bhakt that he was. He is now sporting saffron attire in Reels, and is propagating Shiva bhakti. His new Instagram handle is SantTejPratapYadav. After political and personal isolation, Teju bhaiya seems to have found solace in Rudraksha, Shiva bhajans and the Shiva Puran.
