NDA seat-sharing talks are pending until the election schedule is announced, says BJP State president Nainar Nagenthran.
Seat-sharing talks in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have not yet commenced and will begin only after the announcement of the election schedule, BJP State president Nainar Nagenthran said on Monday.
“Seat-sharing talks has not begun in the NDA so far. First, let the election date be announced. Then we’ll see,” he told mediapersons here. Criticising the DMK government, Mr. Nagenthran alleged that Tamil Nadu had “fallen behind on multiple fronts in comparison with other States”.
Mr. Nagenthran was in Tiruchi to inspect possible venues for a public meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 11. He examined a site near the newly constructed integrated vegetable market complex at Panjapur. The meeting, to be organised by the NDA, is proposed to be held on a “conference scale”, with the party expecting participation of over 5 lakh people.
He added that a few locations had been shortlisted and the final venue would be decided after taking security considerations into account.
