
Science carnival held at Pilikula Regional Science Centre

Students from 22 schools showcased innovative projects at the Shell Nxplorers Science Carnival in Mangaluru's Pilikula Regional Science Centre.
Students from 22 schools from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts took part in the Shell Nxplorers Science Carnival held at the Regional Science Centre in Dr. Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama in Mangaluru on Saturday.
The event was organised by Shell Nxplorers in association with Learning Links Foundation. As per a release, the organisers said 54 students showcased 28 innovative science projects, which reflected creativity, teamwork and a strong commitment to solving real-world challenges. A session by science communicator and writer Nandita Jayaram titled ‘Indian Women Scientists and the Challenges They Face’ was also held.
G. Srinikethan, retired professor of Chemical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, inaugurated the programme. Speaker U.T. Khader also attended the programme, the release said.
