All schools in Manipur will reopen from August 8. 2022, keeping in mind the necessary Covid-19 SOPs.
As per the latest notification, all the schools in Manipur will reopen for offline/physical classes from Monday, August 8, 2022. All the government-run, government-aided and private schools will resume physical classes from August 8, 2022. The notice for the same was issued on Friday, October 5, 2022 by the Education Commissioner (Schools) H Gyan Prakash.
The order further states that ace masks will be mandatory for the students on campus, and parents are requested not to send their children to school if they have any symptoms of Covid-19. Further, schools will have to follow the Covid-19 SOPs.
All the heads of schools should take the necessary steps to vaccinate their teaching staff with both the doses as well as the booster dose.
Last month, the state government shut all the schools for students up to Class 8 amid rising Covid-19 cases.
