A 9-year-old girl, Harshita, dressed up as goddess Durga and walked across a road full of potholes in which puddles of rainwater had collected to draw attention to the road’s poor condition. The incident occurred in Karnataka’s Hubballi.
A Class 2 girl dressed up as Durga during Navratri and walked on a road full of potholes filled with puddles of water in Karnataka’s Hubballi. She did this in an effort to draw attention to the bad condition of roads in the area.
The girl, identified as 9-year-old Harshita, can be seen dressed up as Durga and walking across a road full of potholes which are filled with puddles of rainwater. She also stood in the middle of one such pothole which was filled with muddy water.

In order to draw attention to the bad roads and the potholes which could prove dangerous to motorists, the child dressed up as a goddess and walked across them. The girl and her family decided to use the occasion of Navratri to bring attention to the bad state of the road in a unique way.
In an interview with India Today, Harshita, the girl who dressed up as Durga, said, “The state of the road is very concerning. It becomes troublesome when we travel to school in autos every day. There is a lot of sludge and water in the potholes which causes problems.”
