Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal told Lok Sabha that the average dropout rate of girls at the primary and secondary level for the year 2018-19 was lower than that of boys.
According to Government data, the average dropout rate of girls at the primary and secondary level for the year 2018-19 is lower than that of boys. In a response to a question by Member of Parliament Dr Virendra Kumar, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank informed the Lok Sabha that as per the Unified Districts Information system for education plus (UDISE+) 2018-19, the dropout rate of students at the primary level was 4.45 while for the secondary level it was much higher at 17.87.
