School dropout rate of girls lower than boys, Education Minister informs Lok Sabha

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal told Lok Sabha that the average dropout rate of girls at the primary and secondary level for the year 2018-19 was lower than that of boys.
According to Government data, the average dropout rate of girls at the primary and secondary level for the year 2018-19 is lower than that of boys. In a response to a question by Member of Parliament Dr Virendra Kumar, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank informed the Lok Sabha that as per the Unified Districts Information system for education plus (UDISE+) 2018-19, the dropout rate of students at the primary level was 4.45 while for the secondary level it was much higher at 17.87.More Related News
